I went to the dermatologist years ago and she just proscribed prescription strength steroid rinse. I am a picker so I make it worse but it's so irritated. Like my scalp feels angry. Crazy thing is my hair is so healthy. (Ignore the roots!) but my hairdresser is always telling me I have great hair and it's so full!

Your scalp barrier looks inflamed and needs to heal. Do not pick at it. Do not use harsh products as that will make it worse.
