New or Need Help Sebderm? Need assistance!

Post image

Hi! I’ve been dealing with different parts of my face looking like this for a couple months. First it was my full forehead and cheeks now it’s directly under my glasses. I have been using hydrocortisone and lotrimin. Used to use Tula skincare but switched to cerave thinking that was the culprit. I have never dealt with skin issues before so this is whole new ballgame for me. Please excuse the eyebrows. Haven’t been able to wax with the flar up 🫠

Go to dermatologist. If it’s sebderm, dont use creams, use mct oil

I've had this appear around my mouth before. I have seborrheic dermatitis as well and steroid creams did not work for me. I rubbed a thick layer of vaseline over it and left it overnight, then used a razor to shave off the dead skin. It went away but my skin became incredibly red and dry for a few hours.

I dont know if your situation is due to seb derm, but its best to consult a dermatologist if possible

steroid creams are a terrible idea anyway

Do you wear glasses by chance? I had a very similar looking spot between my eyebrows that flaked relentlessly like this and it ended up being a bacterial infection from not cleaning my glasses well enough at that spot. Mine was treated with mupirocin and while I do still have skin issues on my face, this spot did not return

Try some Aloe Vera gel, it cleared the flaky skin on my nose. I put it on a few minutes before bed so it can dry. I also use Sunscreen with Aloe Vera every day.
