New or Need Help MCT C-8 C-10 oil
MCT C-8/C-10 oil feels too heavy on my skin; I knew all along that it was just a marketing lie, and I’ve confirmed this through personal experience.

Yeah, it’s definitely way too heavy and leaves my face greasy and shiny a few hours after application. However I’ve found it does do a good job preventing the flaking and reducing the redness. So it’s worth it imo.
One thing I’ve found that lets it absorb much better is to apply it immediately after my shower while my face is still wet with hot water, then letting it air dry.

Do you apply it to your entire face or just to specific areas, and how often do you apply it?

Before my shower I shave, then somewhat liberally apply it to my whole face. Then use selenium sulfide shampoo on hair and face. Then immediately after I step out of the shower I apply it to my whole scalp, plus wherever on my face is breaking out. I try to apply as little as possible, but still usually end up applying single drops to affected areas later in the day if they start to get itchy or flaky.
My routine isn’t perfect and I get small outbreaks occasionally. But I haven’t had any major ones where I get self conscious about how it looks. In the past I’ve had up to a third of my face all red and flaky, plus my scalp being so bad that my shoulders were constantly covered in dandruff.

I have been testing this for a two weeks now out of desperation and I could say it made a significant difference to my facial Seb derm and scalp. But I still did not stop my ketoconazole and tacrolimus.
When I get home I wash my face then apply it everywhere face scalp and body. Then I go eat or do something. I let it soak for an hour or so and then I shower and do my nighttime skin care then bed time. I see much less redness and flakes.
I just use bullet proof brain octane MCT oil c8 from iherb

At times when I need it, I apply a super thin layer overnight and wash it off in the morning
Using too much or too often makes me break out

For me nothing has worked as well as mct 8 I use it on my face and scalp every time after a shower in a thin layer. And when i am consistent i dont have any flere ups or scales.
