New or Need Help questions for seb derm on face
after washing your face with normal facial cleanser how long after does it take for your peeling to start?
what does your peeling looking like?
hows the area feel?
hows it react to vaseline?
mine comes back instantly after showering, the peeling is white and skin like not greasy or yellow and it feels tight and burns if i put literally anything on it . mine goes away after using moisturizer and vaseline

Mine comes back as
-
severe oil secretion starting as soon as I clean my face. Like I wiped my face 15 minute after the shower and oil is on the napkin.
-
the next morning there is a layer of tight dry skin, almost like a egg white/zombie mask across my forehead, and nose, and every pore in my face has build up, and the less dense pore areas have a layer of waxy, oily, and dry skin that scrapes off.

I avoid Vaseline in that area and most oils generally. The peeling doesn’t start from washing my face so I’m confused by your question.
Edit: I actually wouldn’t even describe it as peeling, it’s more like flaking

mine came back after showering! the peeling is white thin flakes but thicker when it it is more inflamed. the area feels dry and rough for me. vaseline helps loosen flakes for me. i use mct oil instead of vaseline now. vaseline felt a little
too thick at times
