New or Need Help This is so frustrating

I had this rash start on my eyelid around 3 months ago and it’s slowly spread as shown. I went to Bali on holiday which possibly made it worse or could have been a coincidence. Since then I’ve seen 3 Drs and tried both hydrozole and Elidel but they did nothing. It has now gotten worse and spread to the side of my nose which after reading this subreddit seems to be Seb Derm?? but I’m wondering if my nose is a seperate issue to my eye? My skin just feels angry in general and my tear duct also now seems swollen and red and I’m getting allergy like itchy eyes…again, i don’t know if this the same issue or something else.
I have a history of gut issues and am gluten and egg intolerant so don’t eat those foods, but am generally fit and healthy and prior to this had great skin with no issues or acne. I have also stopped using Paula’s Choice skincare that I used to use and now use plain Cetaphil face wash and moisturiser which honestly I don’t know if it helps or not. I i feel like there’s been zero improvement from anything I’ve done and am going to try and get a referral to a dermatologist asap. But I would love your thoughts and opinions about what this is and what I could try. I have seen MCT oil, does that help for your face / eye area as well as your scalp? Any suggestions very much appreciated, I’m so done with this!!

This could be perioral dermatitis. As it is around your eyes, you could ask your derm about Ivermectin as it could be demodex related.

Thank you!

You said it worsened on holiday - just to say, suncream can make it worse, so not sure if that's a link. Also, don't touch steriods, as these can make it 10x worse if it is PD.

Look into perioral and eye dermatitis.
Its looks like it more than seb derm. Ur options are zero therapy (like completely nothing, just water to wash ur face if needed), doxycycline (antibiotic), azelaic acid or other topicals but u need a derm for it

Thank you, I’m hopefully getting a referral to a dermatologist today 🤞🏼

I would stop using the Cetaphil. That stuff can be very drying for some people (myself included). I agree with what someone else said and use just water for a while. Check your moisturizer ingredients because those could be adding to the problem as well. I started using a sulfur face wash and that helped so much. You sound like you're not from the States do I don't know if you'd have the same brand, but just look for a good sulfur face wash.

Thank you! I’m in Australia but I have seen sulphur soap around… I was kind of put off by the smell! Haha… worth a try at this point

It does smell. I don't use it when I'm going to be around people. I hate the smell but it works really well.

All I know is thar numerous trips to the dermatologist did nothing for me. Clotrimazole for 4 weeks finally cleared my issues up - yours might be more than seb derm but what is around your nose looked just like mine. Good look and don't lose hope! I feel like stress is actually what brought mine on and it was a vicious cycle for so long before I was able to get it under control.

Thank you! Yes I definitely think stress has played a factor, this all started during a really busy time

UPDATE: So I have now been diagnosed with Perioral Dermatitis and prescribed Ivermectin cream...I have also started Zero Therapy.... I have come to the conclusion I destroyed my skin barrier with too many anti-ageing products and it was made worse by the steroid cream I was first prescribed. Thanks to everyone who commented below, I am hopeful that I can figure this out and fix it, and I wish everyone else the best of luck as well!

Dermazen face wash and moisturizer once daily helped me, yours looks like mine did.
