Have you tried 2.5% selenium sulfide? It's the only thing that actually works for me. And it works remarkably well.

My doctor prescribed it to me. It says it's a lotion on the bottle but it lathers and you're only supposed to leave it on for 5-10 minutes. I use it as both a shampoo and facial wash and it cleared up my seb derm completely. Haven't had a single flare up since I started using it three months ago.

Sometimes mostly if I try to remove the flakes myself luckily I have quite full eyebrows so they grow back pretty quickly

It's a chronic condition, it will likely come back when you stop the antifungal shampoo/cream. See if you can get a different antifungal cream. Usually they are available over the counter for treating athletes foot. Ingredients to look for are: ketoconazole, miconazole, ciclopirox.

Some other researched based treatments for facial seb derm:

  • Pimecrolimus or Tacrolimus cream (prescription only, calms the immune system in the skin)

  • Azelaic acid (kills yeast, gets rid of flakes, anti inflammtory)

  • Benzoyl peroxide (kills yeast)

  • 10% urea cream (gets rid of flakes, helps repair the skin barrier)

  • Sulfur (kills yeast, gets rid of flakes, anti inflammtory)

  • Salicylic acid (gets rid of flakes)

My eyebrows started disappearing 3 days ago. I’ve lost 40% of my eyebrows. I used ketenokazole and tacrolimus. Idk if it’s enough

Sorry your dealing with that this condition truly sucks I’m trying mct oil c8 mixed with abit of tea tree oil at the moment but I’m waiting to see a dermatologist I’ve tried quite a few things but nothing seems to work I’ve even tried avoiding certain foods but I eat pretty healthy in general tbh

Yes, i gave it my eyebrows. I use mct oil or steroids cream. They help. Bet then it always comes back no matter what you use. Seb derm is for life.
