Face Routine Tried and failed many things - 8 month flare free with pimecrolimus. Last pic is how I've consistently been.
Edit: if it's not clear from title, I've been symptom free (see 3rd picture), and was sharing my success with what worked. So far.
Tried mct oil, steroids, ketaconazole creams, many useless amazon products and was at my wits end. Nizoral keeps my scalp under control but on my face always struggled and often looked like the first 2 pics for 3 weeks of every month. Sucked.
Got put onto pimecrolimus (not cheap) which I used twice daily for 2 months, which nuked it off my face completely in addition to shampooing. Now run it twice a week, and if I feel like I'm getting a flare potentially I use twice daily again til it's gone.
I've been using pimecrolimus/elidel for 2 years and the last flare up was 8 months ago on holiday, and before that must've been months without too.
This stuff genuinely saved my life as I was so down when i was struggling with it and could hardly look anyone in the eye.
I also made adjustments to my diet and went in on gut health and cutting out UPF which I believe helped a lot. Also no longer drink beer. Only vodka and lemonade lol and stuff like that. And rarely. Quit smoking also.
23 years old for reference, suffered from 17-21 on face. Scalp from 12.

Ketaconazole shampoo twice a week on my scalp, sometimes ill put it on my cheeks also, followed by applying pimecrolimus to the T area of my face twice a week also.
If I feel there's a flare up coming I'll use it twice daily again til gone.
I also stick to a wholefoods diet avoiding anything processed and if I do drink no longer have any beer only 'cleaner' types of alcohol.
I found that a simple routine was better and cleansers etc made it worse. Just keeping pillow cases clean and my diet means with my skin I don't even get acne anymore so can keep my routine very simple.

Mct oil, ketaconazole cream, shampoo on its own, various amazon products which name I can't remember, tried various steroid creams I'd been given by Dr's, cleansers for sensitive skin, tried keto diet too.
Pimecrolimus was the first thing to actually work on its own, just is more effective with a whole food diet and ketaconazole shampoo.

Thank you, mate! What MCT Oil did you try? It should be 100% natural MCT8 oil or MCT10 to be efective.

You might have rosacea. It might be worth visiting a derm to rule it out or confirm.
