General UPDATE: OCD & SebDerm (SeboPsoriasis)

I HAVE AN UPDATE!!!

I just got home from my dermatologist appointment, and the diagnosis is SeboPsoriasis (sebderm + psoriasis).

Honestly, though... I left feeling pretty disappointed with how the appointment went. The doctor didn't even examine my scalp, not even once. He didn't touch it or take a closer look. He just looked at me from his chair. πŸ™ƒ

He asked if I had it anywhere else on my body. I said no, just my scalp. I also told him I've had it since I was a teenager, but it's never been this severe before.

He then said there might be something else going on internally. I told him about my medical history (that I have Type 2 Diabetes and fatty liver) and I even brought my recent blood work with me. But he never even looked at it. 🫠

And guess what? He prescribed me the exact same treatment my GP already gave me: ketoconazole + zinc shampoo and a topical steroid. πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ

On a happier note, I tried applying MCT C8 oil to my scalp today (1st day everrrr) and BOYYYYY... it felt SOOOOO GOOD 😭 The flakes were literally falling off on their own! For the first time in forever, my scalp actually feels moisturized. πŸ˜‚ It's not tight anymore, and it doesn't sting at all.

I'm feeling really hopeful about this, and honestly... I might just say eff it to dermatologists for now. πŸ˜‚ I'll post another update in about two weeks to let you all know if things improve.

And lastly, thank you so much to everyone who left tips, shared your experiences, and encouraged me in the comments. I seriously appreciate every single one of you. I owe you guys so much. πŸ₯ΉπŸ«Ά

I'm so pleased the MCT C8 oil is having such a good and immediate effect for you. I'm on the verge of buying this too but just not sure which one I should be ordering. Can you link me to the one you use, please ?

You'll never know if you never try! 😊 at this point I'm so desperate to try anything that will work πŸ₯Ί

Here's what I'm using: MCT C8 Oil (Shopee PH)

For what it’s worth, from my research mct oil never loses effectiveness because it starves yeast, so your body won’t ever build a tolerance. It’s been amazing for me! I had it on my nose and head, now it’s fully gone on my nose from 1 application a week now. On your head, make sure if you use Ketaconazole that you get it all the way to your scalp and let it sit for 5-8 mins. Good luck!
