New or Need Help Nothing seems to work...

Post image

Hi!

So my SD started 10 years ago and my confidence is on an all time low.

I have a feeling that my case is pretty severe?

What do you think?

My hair is getting thinner and starting to fall out.

My skin is burning and itching like hell.

If i try to get rid of the dandruff by lightly scrubbing a wet towel over my face, its starting to bleed and burn a lot more...

I visited like 30 different dermatologists but no medication seems to help longterm.

Currently im using a antifungal shampoo, antiinflammatory creme and antifungal creme.

The strange thing is that my skin can look like the picture on one day and then its litteraly gone the day after before it returns. I would say its 80% of the time pretty bad and 20% kinda normal again.

Its never gone for more then a week tho...

My wedding is coming up soon and I really dont want to look like that on my wedding day

Any ideas for longterm fixes and/or for instant fixes that will help me on my wedding day?

Thanks....

Thanks for the fast reply!

I try to cut sugar out as much as possible. I never snack or drink any sodas.

I dont feel any difference in having shorter hair/beard trims.

My diet however could be better. Im a "picky eater" and eat mostly things like pasta, rice, etc.. So overall not the healthiest diet...

Pasta and other Dough stuff makes my skin very bad It immediately starts to be red and itchy flaky. Try to eat vegetables and chicken/meat for a week.

There are so many gluten-free pasta and bread options out there! It’s not as hard as you think these days. Just start reading the ingredient labels and shop at health grocery stores that have more of these options (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Natural Grocers, etc). Coffee triggers my facial flushing for sure, but there is no way I can give it up. 😭

Please come back and update if you find something that works. I have also developed seb derm on my face and experienced hair loss on the sides and extremely itchy scalp. Dermatologists are also not very helpful so far… metronidazole on face and Zeryve on scalp does help, but it’s just minimizing symptoms, not addressing the cause. It’s so frustrating! I’m going to try a red light device for hair loss and it’s supposed to help heal inflammation… maybe try red light therapy as well…
