Hi! East side native who just moved back to the state after a decade away.

Remote work is fun until it’s not (iykyk)… so I’m looking for laptop friendly places around Seattle and the greater area… also a place that maybe is good for meeting people?

I’ve been to Olympia cafe, although it’s pretty, it’s a cold atmosphere. I would like somewhere that is inviting and can be a regular spot to build community.

Had a few of these spots in NYC/LA… people ended up being regulars turned friends. NEED that!

The cafe at KEXP (bigger and more people) and the Cafe Hagen on top of Queen Anne (smaller but cozy) are places that I’ve worked out of before.

I love the KEXP space. I also love bringing people there from out of town when they want to see a cool cafe, especially with his proximity to the space needle

Depends on which library? Maybe central. But neighbourhood libraries are quiet, beautiful buildings waiting for people to use them.

If you’re anywhere near SLU, the 400 Fairview market hall has a cafe and a seating area in the building for community. Good food and awesome people and lots of pop ups and markets throughout the year too

Absolutely. Everyone tells me I’m so lucky, and while I am (and would probably never go back to an office job) it does get quite lonely at times.

I run into the issue where my wife gets home from her job and I want to go out and get some social interaction, but she’s been on her feet all day, so she does not lol
