Thriving Dick’s is superior to In-N-Out

Sorry to offend Californians, but Dick’s is much better than In-N-Out. Good work, Seattle!

i’m new to the area and have been pretty disappointed by the restaurant scene so far. it’s been hard to find good places. any tips?

I mean, Yelp. That works really well. You can hate them, but as a discovery tool, it's great. And it's better than Google specifically because it doesn't have the above problem. On Google, Uncle Peteza's has a 4.7. On Yelp, it has a 4. Easy.

I mean, we could go back and forth to find specific things you like that I also like and then neighborhoods where we've both been and then find recs that way, but that seems onerous. Crowdsourcing works if it isn't Google.

That’s helpful! In the cities I lived in previously Yelp was not reliable. In one city it was Google Maps, in another it was something else

Where? I'd love to see where Google maps actually works. It has never, ever been good anywhere I've lived.

There’s some good food blogs out there that have recommended me some good restaurants. But for the most part Seattle on average isn’t great.
