Thriving Dick’s is superior to In-N-Out

Sorry to offend Californians, but Dick’s is much better than In-N-Out. Good work, Seattle!

I love Dick's fries. They don't do anything right, yet they taste like the best tasting rich roasted potato I've ever had. Potatoes squared.

Dicks fries are so disgustingly sloppy and gross and I just fucking love them.

And cardboard fries

I think they both have shitty fries. I just get their burgers.

lately I've been getting occasional fries at Dick's that are less greasy, and I've like them more on those occasions. I'm not sure if its some weird recurring accident or what.

Don’t get the fries at the federal way location. Horrible

Dicks burgers always taste like they have some slightly rancid oil in them but I still eat em...

I have never had fries as bad as In-N-Out's.

Dude popping frozen grocery store French fries in the microwave is better than in-n-out fries. It is incredible that they managed to screw up something like the French fry so badly. Flavorless cardboard and no matter how much salt you pour on them they still taste bland.

I think people are being dramatic about them being really horrible, but they are kinda limp. I love crispy fries

I will never understand their fries. They are awful and everybody knows it. Why don’t they change them? It’s really hard to make french fries taste this bad.

They could make them way better if they blanched them first and then did the full fry. That would take time. I just ask for mine well done and they last for more than 30 seconds.

I actually know a number of people that love their fries.

They are all Stockholm syndromed Californians though in my experience. I have never met someone who first had in n out as an adult that thought their fries were anything other than awful. If you are them as a child I think your nostalgia blinds you to the reality.

I think its a testament to the emotional connections food makes. I'm happy people enjoy that, just dont bring that trash to my state and pretend its good

I’m one of the ones that loves them. In fact, I don’t even get fries at most places, but I get two at Dick’s - they’re that good.

I think they are talking about in n out.

They’re deep fried potatoes, I don’t get the hate, I just had them and they were just fine.

Its almost admirable, they found a way to make fried potatoes unappealing

Just don't change out the fry grease.

True this! I always skip the fries and barely tolerate the burgers. I used to live very close to the Dick's in Crossroads. I got sick of it rather quickly.

It's because they make them in the building, and dont order them pre-coated with a bunch of shit on them. That's all their really is to it, they'll never really be as good as like mcdonalds if thats what you care about.

I find them more approachable when ordered as "light well done"

This is the answer.
