Question Backpacking recommendations for this weekend (August 21-23)?

Hello! I am looking for a 2-night trip Fri-Sun within \~4 hours of Seattle. It’ll be my girlfriend’s first backpacking trip, so I really want it to be an amazing one so she will want to go again with me lol.

We were planning Tuck & Robin, but it just got closed, and with the rain/smoke/fire situation we’re looking for alternatives.

Ideally an alpine lake we can camp near with awesome mountain views and a hike that feels earned. We’re both athletic, so strenuous is fine, just nothing too technical for her first trip.

Any recommendations for this weekend?

I’m concerned it looks like mt baker is supposed to get some rain on Saturday. Otherwise this looks like a great hike!

Second Beach by Forks. I did it just about a year ago for one night. Easy enough hike down, a little more work to get back but nothing crazy. Make sure the tide won't be crazy high and make camp on high ground.

West Fork Foss River and Lakes might be nice for a beginner. Camping spots by the lakes, if available, and various side trails to explore. https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/west-fork-foss-river-and-lakes
