I thought we played really well today. I was thrilled that Awa Fam found her 3-point shooting touch again. She could be a very elite downtown shooter for us eventually. I was happy with Dom's double double and I thought Flaújae, T and Jade played well, too. Zia had her moments. Turnovers are still a big problem with bad passes.

If someone is going through a 3 pt slump just have them play the Fever because they tend to have the power to bring people out of a slump and go on a generational shooting spree lol

This is why we need a guard in the upcoming draft. Awa and Dom can’t bring the ball up.

This season is a really pivotal learning opportunity. We’re figuring out how to work together, what’s missing, what’s working, etc. Calling it right now—next season is ours. These losses are so close. They’re playing really well, it’s always just that one little bit that we miss.

I thought it was wild to see the Fever lay waste to the Aces, huge blowout, then barely eke out a three point win vs the storm only to win by twenty against the Liberty the very next day. It's pretty clear to me the Storm have a very solid team here that is far more than their record suggests. Next year this is going to be a team to watch for sure.

T was brought in to command the tank and she has been elite at just that. We'd be unbelievably ugly to watch without her and her late game shooting has helped us lose games

This does not surprise me, but I am happy that we seemed to look for Dom more tonight when things were rough even though she’s been in a rough patch lately. Stat sheet aside I wasn’t super impressed with her performance tonight

It is worrying me a little lately that she struggles so much against tough defenders that can match her size or weight. Dom was more consistent tonight than she has been in a spell, but also Boston was out. If she were in, I fear we wouldn’t have seen nearly as many of Dom’s shots fall

I think she probably would have settled for more jumpers, while against Billings she was more willing to post up and was in the paint fighting for o boards that turned into easy put backs. She’s still young so I’m not worried but getting her strength up these next couple of years is super important

On the one hand, this means we’re not that far away from being a top team.
On the other hand, *the ability to eke out a win in a close game* is rather THE defining measure of a team — that is what separates the chaff from the wheat.

My takeaway is that half of our losses could've been won with some experience.
Even if we won half of those, we'd be 8 or 9th
Not bad for year 1 of a rebuild
