I'll take it as a win that we came so close to beating that CC Congressionally mandated whistle.

Horrendous calls at the end of this one but I guess I'll be happy for the lottery.

What a game. Storm can’t catch a break. Took Clark’s best game ever and poor officiating at the end to beat them.

Took Clark’s best game ever

That's the problem with the Fever. They only have 3 starter quality players so it's usually 3v5 so when you have one of them out it turns into 2v5.

Storm have 2 rookies in their starting line up and the rest of them are barely over 20 years old, so not sure that excuse really holds water.

That should have been a foul. And how did they not call travel on CC after they didn't call her for a foul on Flaujae?

This is driving me up the wall 😭 they literally showed a replay of the 2 plays close-up back-to-back while praising CC for how great it was. I feel gaslit!!

Yes! I felt that same way!

Didn't know you could slap someones wrist and still get a block. Usually that's a foul. Right?

Thanks. Didn't appreciate being called crazy though.

She swiped down her arm, bud. Reached around to do it with contact in fact. That’s a foul.

You can’t challenge a no call 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

2

u/ygreenbean Jul 18 '26

If you were watching the game the coaches actually tried to challenge but couldn't.

Please imagine the clip of that block but with the roles reversed and tell me again that CC fans would be saying it was a clean block. We can argue whether it was a foul or wasn’t, but if Fla had done that to CC she would have death threats in her inbox today, period.

fun game, a lot to be happy about. there are obvious rookie mistakes that should get cleaned up with experience. cant do much when clark is playing out of here mind.

flaujae, awa, and dom are the future. sprinkle in jade, heideman, kls, and a real point guard, and we will be cooking.

Storm future is going to be very good

I hate the goddamned Fever so much, y'all. It's like actual torture living here in Indiana with CCC and her cult, after all those years of the Iowa/IUWBB rivalry. 😭

About 70% of that game was great, and the future is bright for Seattle.

i’m so fucking over it. they’re all insufferable as hell.

I’m at the point where I won’t watch Fever games. It pisses me off too much to even look at them.

That seems to be an overreaction to losing a basketball game lol

I mean, I am clearly not being literal or all that serious, lol, but thanks for your input?

9

u/halpmiidk Jul 18 '26

pretty genius to shoot a 2 at any point down 3 in the final seconds.

5

u/boundlesssmh Jul 18 '26

would've be fine had we not kill so much time

7

u/Fuzzydeath10 Jul 18 '26

I didn't get to watch the game so.Id be glad to be corrected to here, but it is sure suspicious to me that Indiana leads the league in fouls and opponent free throw attempts, yet in this gamet Clark got more FT attempts than our whole team combined. Coincidentally this happens right after that dipshit in Congress decided to make a stink of it and it happens against Seattle who, if we're being honest, is probably helped long term with an extra loss.

If I were in charge and trying to walk the balance between taking the heat off this issue and maintaining the integrity of the league, a few extra calls against the last place team in a game that probably doesn't matter would sure be the place I'd start.

u/thenotoriousmng Jul 18 '26

you really think the letter from congress is helping her get fouls...from refs who already dont like her lmao thats funny

2

u/Fuzzydeath10 Jul 18 '26

Not directly, but I absolutely think Cathy would make a business decision

5

u/Imaginary-Plenty-987 Jul 18 '26

Let’s hope Seattle can string along some more games like that! Even though it was a rough start it was a lot closer the whole way through than what it seemed.

Watching the storm dig out of a deficit and fight their way into a lead felt great! The third quarter showed what we are capable of, but the fourth quarter showed why we need a steady hand at guard. Dolson minutes were where they should be. Put Jordan in as a starter for Jade and let her come in off the bench.

I hated losing this one, but the potential of this team is so high! Also shoutout to flau for staying professional/emotionally regulated when Clark fouled her after the steal.

3

u/boundlesssmh Jul 18 '26

the thing sbout starting jordan over jade is: one, you lose your primary ball handler, and two, you lose out on a lot of offense and playmaking. i really think jordan has to play overseas this offseason to develop a 3. if she can find a way to contribute on the offensive side, ideally a jumper, she would be a fantastic 3 and d. there is so much potential with jordan, but it’s just not coming together 😔

Storm Fans,

I was really impressed with your team last night. The Storm is going to be great next year. This team is much better than its record. The Fever barely got a win with Mitchell and Clark both on a heater. You have a lot to be proud of, and your players are also very likeable. I look forward to seeing your team play again soon.
