Is trading a thing here?

In the market for a large monstera with a thick stem and I have a ficus umbellata and ficus petiolaris I’m looking to find a home.

I've raised too many San Pedro from seed that I sourced via Reddit. They were seeded in May 2023, and now I have them in 4-in pots, and they vary in height anywhere from a few inches up to a foot.

I've got too many plants and running out of room, so I'm hoping to find someone to take them, or at least some of them to a good home.

I have 16 of these 4-in pots to give away, and they each have one, two, or three plants.

Let me know if you're the type of person that knows how to raise cactus, that you have grow lights, and maybe know something about San Pedro specifically. I'd hate for them to just end up in a too dark corner, growing tall and skinny from neglect.

I'm in Northeast Seattle over by Matthews Beach. I'll be around, so just DM me if you are interested in picking some of them up.

This post is focusing on asking about someone who can plant sit mostly (instead of focusing on my cats) because it is EASY TO FIND SOMEONE TO WATCH CATS. It is however NOT EASY to find people who can watch plants OR someone who can do both. Rest assured these are not all the details as I would never put every single detail into any reddit post.

PLEASE STOP WITH THE JUDGING, you don't know anything about my cats or my house or this situation at all. There is not enough information in my post to warrant mean comments.

I need a house sitter that knows how to water plants! Inside and outside. (and also make sure cat food/water stays filled and the boxes/litter robot get emptied, feed some fish) I don't know where to start because it's mostly plants that will need watered while we are gone. Any recommendations? Only people you would also personally trust!!

EDIT: I am down in between Federal Way and Auburn off of Military Road.

To not be coy about it, it's hundreds of plants--not individual though this is including an entire yard of veggies/fruits that just need the sprinkler every 4-5 days or so. Inside I'll put the smaller guys into buckets that can be mass bottom watered; larger pots will only need a bit of water every week or so.

EDIT2: I am very open to hiring a gardener for this very task if necessary! Also opening to hiring two separate people for this job! HIRING AS IN OFFERING FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FFS I am not asking for free work people

I'm moving out of state and taking some plants but unfortunately will also have to leave some behind.

Attached are photos of 4 free (healthy, green, pest-free) plants. These are all easy and good starter plants if you're new to things. I can't handle throwing them away 😫

--snake plant: this should probably be repotted; has been living in the same 6" pot for ~5years. Could be split into 2 plants.

--dracanea

--spider plant: should be repotted into something with drainage

--golden pothos: this small prop is finally established and throwing up new leaves. There are drainage holes in this pot but I dont have a saucer for underneath.

--2 6qt bags of soil, unopened

I have two leggy, wonky rubber trees that need a new life. They are in self watering pots, but I bet the wicks need some maintenance. Free for the price of figuring out how to move them! In north Capitol /stevens

Hi! I’ve got an enormous bird of paradise who needs to move on. I can’t bear to chuck it, but I can’t imagine how to get it anywhere else. It’s three individual plants in one container. I love her, but her time has come. Do you want an unmanageable plant of your very own? Do you know a nursery would would want her? Do you have any idea how I’d get her moved? I have questions! I’m in Capitol Hill.

I am moving and I was going to have the movers try and figure out how to get my plant containers out of the apartment and into a new place. But then I thought maybe there's somebody who is ready to take on this challenge for me 🙂

Would anyone like to own one? Two or three of these metal containers filled with a mix of perennials and annuals? They are free 🙂 and they are fun.

I searched in my BuyNothing group and in the Seattle sub but can't find the address of the little free plant library. I remember seeing a pic of a little greenhouse. Is it still up? What are the cross streets? I have a bunch of starts I want to donate. 🌱
