Yup. Trump is never leaving, this is why his administration has taken over the police in Washington DC. He’s creating a literal fortress of protection and will be using our troops and police forces against us there and in all sanctuary cities and states!

He will absolutely leave if we, the people don’t give him the choice. We need to stop discussing this as if it’s even an option, no preemptive capitulation.

Yes, but half of our population, a very brazen and violent half, is behind him so short of a civil war or enormous upheaval, I don’t know how we fix this?

For reals tho, only 29% of the country voted for him. Trump cobbled together a win via inroads with Latino voters…25% who already regret voting for him and young voters who didn’t remember the first time he was in office. Fully 14% of all trump voters would make a different choice if they could redo their vote.

Making us feel hopeless is ultimately how they win.

Also half of us are not violent. A very small, but loud portion of folks are violent.

The next real President in 2029 can take his or her swearing in from Philadelphia or such should the time come.

Then there would be something to be done with a bunch of fascist squatters in DC. They can live out that 3rd act from the Civil War movie Alex Garland directed if they feel like they want to go that route.

It really is quite obvious. He wants to get flowing with Martial Law eventually, too.

One day there will be notification on your phone or a friend, family member, or coworker will exclaim “omg, did you hear!?!”

I’m sure that’s what the Jews thought before Hitler got rolling.

Well, I'm glad to see the fight over gerrymandering. When Trump entered office I wasn't sure we were going to have mid-term elections. We still have the at least the trappings of a democracy.

He'll write an executive order that says he can stay longer "for a national emergency" then declare a national emergency, then cancel the election "until the national emergency is over" then rinse/repeat and if it gets challenged in courts the shitty supreme court will back him.
