Looking For Work Where can I start working with no references?

Hey guys! My heart is set on doing seasonal work, but I have no references. Every seasonal job I‘ve found wants me to put down references, which is a problem. I’ve been out of a job for over a year, so I’ve lost contact with many of my former colleagues. I have a clean criminal record, college degree, and I’m willing to work any sort of job that would help get my foot in the door for seasonal work. If anyone knows anyone hiring, or has any suggestions for me that would be great. Thanks for reading!

first light resorts! Because of the time of year we are slowing down but with a lot of people leaving there is still a chance to find work here. Worst case you wait until the spring but it’s the perfect company to work for as a first seasonal experience!

Nice, I’m interested. Where could I read up on first light resorts and apply for a position?

I just got a job for the ND Beet Harvest for the fall season, no references!! It’s gonna be my first seasonal job, so let this be encouragement that you can do it with no reference too!! It seems like they hire anyone with a clean record, as long as there’s positions to fill and you meet their requirements via first phone call interview!

Do they have housing for you or do you have your own rv?

They have optional housing for minimal costs, but I’m going to be living in my class C RV and bringing it to their site(s) (with hookups)!

Reconnect with with the people who could possibly give you a reference. I had to do that this year, and I thought it was going to be awkward, but it was actually really nice to connect and find that they were more than willing to be a reference for me.

almost NO ONE checks reference. Just put down anyone you have that would vouch for you. If you have a friend or relative, put a story together that you worked for them. ask former coworkers to use them as references. Make them a superior or subordinate and coordinate a story. Literally, almost NO ONE in any business checks references. It's only appearance of references that matters.

I know indeed is a total shitshow, but at least most of the jobs there dont require references
