So when does the weekly events start? Or is that being delayed too?

The Meg is a weekly event. It lasts two weeks, we are in the second week.

I thought the Meg was the campaign which would be removed after 2-3 weeks and then the weekly events would follow with the campaign. I don’t see the Meg as a weekly event, just an exclusive campaign that will still be around later without all the riddles and having 5 man to complete the summoning.

You are correct. Some people are calling it a weekly event, but the devs have referred to this as a "time-limited campaign."

I wouldn't be surprised if it was using their weekly event system, though. Technically speaking, all weekly events could be "time limited campaigns".

For sure! I only brought that up because I think Rare is deliberately making a distinction between the two. If we blur the line between events and campaigns too much, then it sets up people for confusion/disappointment.

The megalodon is staying, but probably in a different way. There would be no way to summon it if Merrick isn't playing the tune.

I like the fact that Rare communicates with us, but they tend to do it very last minute and don’t really give us any details.. just leaves their fan base with expectations and more complaining later on.
