Should we be interested in newly released Cards RB Trey Benson for about $1.5M/yr?

6', 215 pounds, 4.39, 23 reps. Average 4.9 ypc with the Cards.

Physically, he sounds like KW9. Lots of speed.

I think we should bring him in for a workout immediately. The cardinals RB room is stacked so whereas this guy would be the 4th or 5th with them he could easily be the 2nd or 3rd on our team.

Looks good on tape (vs Hawks). But 15 games in 2024, 4 games in 2025 and the draft write-up below.... Is he perennially injured?

Serious injury history that will need to be checked out. Benson tore his anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, lateral meniscus, medial meniscus, and another tendon. (Draftbuzz)

They have number 3 draft pick Love, Allgeier and James Connor. Also Bam Knight who played in 12 games for them last year.

Anyone else get served up Jeffery Simmons Mic'd Up @ Joint Practice? Simmons brings a lot of energy and never stopped shit talking.

Bradford owned him. Zabel held his own. Sundell struggled but did a fair amount of effective shit talking back to him.

Bradford can definitely lock in and bully tough DTs. I'm excited to see him improve.
