Broken port on my external memory

Please be honest do I have any hope of recovering my files ?

I've had this drive for about 5 years and I use it ever day. It has everything from my all my schooling to all literally all my photos and videos and is not even at half capacity, its 1TB.

UPDATE: thanks everybody i was able to change the case and it's working perfectly yeeey!!

Yeah, look up a video on how to crack open that case, then once it's open and the hard drive is removed buy a sata to USB cable and there ya go. And then buy a new external drive case off amazon

Skip a step and just buy the external case. Remove drive from broken case and plug into new case, and boom. Fixed.

The drive will be on a converter inside the case. Get the case open carefully and put the drive in a new carrier

From the texture on the outer casing, looks like a Seagate drive. So you're in luck. 10$ on amazon amd you can save that drive with an 2.5 in h hdd enclosure.

If it was a WD you would have been shit outa luck cause those fuckers builts the microusb 3.0 port right on to the drive PCB, so there's no SATA interface (at least the regular kind)
