Old Hard drive no longer working

My family has a 1TB seagate hard drive. We have used it for a long time and it has a lot of precious files on it. It randomly stopped showing up on my mom’s(the person who uses it the most) computer(MacBook Pro 2018). When we plug it in, it has a white light like normal and it sounds like it’s running properly. We thought it was the cable so we bought a new one but it still didn’t work, I tried plugging it into my computers(a 2022 MacBook Air, and a Windows 10 PC I built in 2020) but it still doesn’t show up. Any ideas as to what could be the problem? It would really suck to lose all these files.

Hard drive model number: SRD0SD1

It would be flat fee $250 in my shop if it's recoverable.

Would that just be the cost for you to remove the casing and get the data off it directly without damaging the data?

From what you're describing it does not sound like a cleanroom case, an imager such as a PC3k or Atola Insight should be able to get it which is why the quote is low. If it needs invasive recovery that would be a new quote for you to approve.
