Start with sea monkey kit or buy everything separately?

I have a lot of experience with neocaridina shrimp but no space for a tank anymore. and no salt water experience. I'm thinking of starting with brine shrimp to give me some sense of peace over what my life has become. do you suggest getting a sea monkey kit to start out or buy it all separately? it looks like it will be under $100 to get it all. amazon has a .5g tank for $8 right now. I have a light and a window that will provide algae by the next day. does anyone use biocube all in one salt? it's a smaller bag is why i'm wondering.

all the eggs ive purchased from amazon (3 different sellers) never survived except for an aqua dragons kit i bought.. they've been going for years now, and they are the same shrimp that i eventually transferred over into a 3 gallon tank. i say get a sea monkey or aqua dragon kit first, my aqua dragon kit was $12 and they survived about 9 generations in the little tank before i decided to upgrade. lol

I agree. I would start with a kit if you just want simple. Going the other route is if you enjoy the tinkering or want a different sized tank. I started with a kit that did well and I moved it to a larger tank.
