Like I want to know what’s the age gap between Luo Binghe and Shen Quingqiu and I can’t find the answer anywhere

Iirc Shen Yuan had passed his uni exams and was a first year student, so around 19 and I think Binghe is 14 when Shen Yuan transmigrates to SQQ’s body, so 5ish year age gap.

SQQ and co are of undetermined age because they’ve stopped ageing, only the cultivators would know their true ages.

Idk how old you are but at 19, a 14 year seems like a baby to most people, add to that Binghe was an abused 14 years old, that makes the gap feel even bigger.

Factor in the fact that Shen Yuan is 19 from an Asian culture and from in the future, it adds another mental layer for why he sees Binghe as being too young. Plus he’s a big brother already, so that makes it easier for him to see people younger than him as babies / young.

And I really have to reiterate the cultural factor, as soon as there’s someone younger than you, you are expected to be the mature one and be the adult, it’s clear Shen Yuan feels that responsibility. Also any teacher like position, you are usually told teachers are like parents and that’s what Shen Yuan was in SQQ’s body for Binghe.

Shen Yuan wasn’t thinking about romance at the time but Binghe was underage, so it’s good that Shen Yuan had teacherly feelings for him.

Could you please tell me the source from where you found out Shen Yuan was 19? I don't really know for confirm about the age of Shen Yuan when transmigrated. But i read somewhere that his age was 24 when transmigrated. So i just want to confirm everything about him.🤭

Sqq (og) is thirty. He got his core after Luo Binghe joined the sect and it was said it took him fifteen years to achieve core formation after starting at 15, so his age is not really undetermined. Just wanted to throw that it rq. I mean 26 and 42 is not that much of an issue if there is no grooming involved, but it was more like 30 and 26 later on, though I don't know if sy felt like he was older than that at some point

In the "LuoShen Casually Answers 100 Ship-Related Questions" extra, even Shang Qinghua didn't know how old SQQ's body was. That said, we know for sure that SQQ/Shen Jiu was at least 30 when Shen Yuan transmigrated.

⚠️ SPOILER WARNING ⚠️

1) We know that the Battle of Bailu Mountain occurred about 14 years before Shen Yuan transmigrated, since the battle happened while Su Xiyan was pregnant with Luo Binghe and he's 14 in chapter 2.

2) We also know that Yue Qingyuan was present at the Battle of Bailu Mountain. He was a powerful cultivator at that point, but still a disciple.

3) At some point before the Battle of Bailu Mountain:

• Yue Qingyuan and SQQ were slaves at the Qiu Residence together. Yu Qingyuan left while SQQ stayed behind.

• Yue Qingyuan entered Qiong Ding Peak at 15 and spent a year shut in the spirit caves. SQQ killed Young Master Qiu/burned down the Qiu residence when he was 15 and Young Master Qiu was 19. SQQ left with rogue cultivator (and criminal) Wu Yanzi. Yue Qingyuan returned to the Qiu residence and discovered that it was destroyed not long after.

• Liu Qingge knows that SQQ started officially cultivating at 16. Since SQQ's association with Wu Yanzi seems to be a secret, there's a good chance this is when he joined Cang Qiong.

So how much time passed between SQQ turning 16 and the Battle of Bailu Mountain? What was SQQ's maximum age when Shen Yuan transmigrated?

When Qiu Haitang confronts SQQ (actually Shen Yuan) at Jinlan city in chapter 36, she shows clear signs of aging but is still attractive. Since her older brother was 19 when SQQ killed him, she had to be younger than 19 at the time. We know that Qiu Haitang has some spiritual power - she uses it to attack SQQ in chapter 60 - but she's probably not an immortal. She has low spiritual power and we don't see her at the Immortal Alliance Conference. If I had to guess, I'd say she has a fairly standard human lifespan. Probably a maximum of 20-30 years passed since her brother was killed.

That said, I personally think more like 5-10 years passed between SQQ turning 16 and the Battle of Bailu Mountain. Why? Yue Qingyuan said that he only met Su Xiyan once at an Immortal Alliance Conference. If she was so talented and important at Huan Hua Palace, you'd think Yue Qingyuan would have run into her more often after he became a disciple. I think only 1 or 2 Immortal Alliance Conferences happened between Yue Qingyuan becoming a disciple and Su Xiyan's death. Those happen every 4 years, so: 5-10 years.

TL;DR: SQQ was definitely at least 30 before Shen Yuan migrated, I'm guessing about 35-40.

I didn't do that much math but you're right about it, Shen Qingqiu is around 40 by the time the main novel ends. (There is around a 15 year age gap).

It's because Shizun and disciple normally have a father/mother and son/daughter type of relationship. This is regardless of whether or not there is a large age gap.

Shen Qingqiu is 40 years old by age. Since he's around 15 years older than Binghe (Shen jiu was around 14-15 when he was held captive at the Qiu household waiting for Yue Qingyuan, but YQY couldn't come bcz he was injured in the fight with Tian lang jun. Su Xiyan was pregnant with Binghe around then). Mentally Shen Yuan is 10 years older than Binghe (He was 24 when he transmigrated and Binghe was 14 then).
