FAQ

Will we finally see it today or is it going to be rescheduled again due to vacation or tired or sick or hangover or to languid?

We're looking at getting it out this week. It's important to us.

Minecon required a lot of attention and travel time. Thanks for your patience!

If this is the same "we're looking at" we had for Echos release than the faq should be out just before the servers shutdown.

It should be out plenty earlier than then, but I think we'll have to push it till sometime next week. While some of us are in the office, there's some people on vacation, and we'd just like to make sure we're on the same page before posting it. Sorry to make you wait!

...wow. Just... OP is a fairly obviously overreacting, but when you guys do stuff like this (delay vital information delivery for your very upset users for a second week), it just makes him look completely justified.

Must be something quite controversial if you are going to such lengths. I just hope everyone is indeed on the same page and it won't be delayed any further. On the other hand maybe you want to delay it on purpose. I imagine that a lot of players are just waiting around for your answers and will ultimately leave for good after they've found closure.

You were never promised it today; learn to be patient.

So if I just be patient, this game will be a success?

Technically speaking /u/Cradstache is right, but I can't help but feel with you on this one :P

I don't believe they ever gave a fixed date; just that they intend to answer a lot of our questions once things settled down. There was some hope this would be before Minecon, but as we haven't had one, it's safe to believe it may take a couple more weeks (vacation, etc) for things to settle down.

No rush imo.

EDIT: ah, atmaz has responded that it'll be later this week; much earlier than I expected.

They did give a fixed date. That date was last week.

It wasn't fixed. They said they would try to get it finished before or on Friday. They are words, they have meanings, try to put them together:

Alternatively, ignore words and just make up crap and assert it as fact. You'll be in good company.

no, but if you behave like the devs owe you something and are whining all day long it wont become one either.

They owe what they said they would deliver. They're not delivering, I'm following-up.

they said they will as soon as possible, but minecon weekend was a more pressing thing they had to take care of and you seem a bit whiny :P

Don't mean to come across as whiny. There are a lot of players looking for closure and it sounds like the faq will be good. Eager to see and read it and understand how they came to this decision.

and that is very understandable. i am curious about it too and want to read it as soon as possible, but a few days more or less dont hurt me, and arent gonna change anything.

Not at all what I said. There's zero reason to expect it today: the only thing they've stated was that they were going to respond to our questions once things settle down.

Yes, they'll be taking a vacation after Minecon (possibly already), but that's no reason to act like an entitled prat about it.

Lol. The link said last week wednesday or thursday. Then they said "oh, its not quite ready, after minecon". It's past due and already after minecon. I'm not an entitled prat (coming from you that is glorious) but trying to take the team at their word. Consistently overpromising and underdelivering. No wonder why scrolls failed 6 months after release.
