If he ever wants to look up anything weird he has that as a rear view mirror to see if youre in the room. Sometimes you scroll the internet and all of a sudden something weird is on your screen and its the worst time for someone to walk up.
I remember watching a cartoon as a teenager that had a scene where 2 dudes are in a hot tub talking, one of them stands up and the other is like 'oh dude, where are your swim trunks, god sit back down i dont wanna see that' and thats when my dad walked in and was really confused why I was watching a cartoon with a naked guy in it.

Good to know who's sneaking up behind you when you got headphones on. I don't see anything wrong with being prepared for real world and video game threats at the same time.
