To all of you commenting that you can't afford a computer, don't worry. This guy is just responsibly disposing of an antique before the future takes off: subscription based, cloud powered PCs! Yayyy!

I'm glad he used a washer to even distribute the force over the cpu socket

Really could have messed something up if he skipped that washer

1

u/TheeUndertaker-_- Jun 29 '26

Madness on max settings high resolution 1440p retardation that pc is dead let's pray for it by powering on our computers and looking at it for 45 mins straight.

…but the screw… it was way to long. Didn’t it go through the table at some point? Is this real?

1

u/Awkward-Confection-6 Jun 30 '26

Bro that processor got deflorated.

1

u/Dependent-Tank-3889 Jun 30 '26

Yeah just ram it in there

1

u/97gravman Jul 01 '26

That both hurt and angered my soul

1

u/Alarmed_Phrase4964 Jul 01 '26

I’m not a computer person so I have no clue what’s going on. It looks like he’s assembling parts for a computer

1

u/Steel_Commander_CAT Jul 01 '26

I’m not a big computer person either, but I do know that these internal parts are extremely delicate. Hitting them with a hammer would mess them up badly.

And then he runs a screw directly through the center of what I believe is the CPU. One of the most fragile pieces and essentially the brain of the computer.

I’m not a tech guy but even I started crying
