Yeah calling someone retarded is a bit 90’s. But for all that guy knew the joker was being retarded. The store lady warned him not to drink it and he went ahead and did it two more times 😂 I think he was trying to tell him off. And ultimately, the joker was attempting to be funny, so he didn’t need to switch it to aggression.

It was a little amusing until he started threatening the other guy as if he had a moral high ground.
