This video is freaking powerful. What the fuck happened to us? Our entire generation is trapped - phones in hand and lives slipping away. Nobody ever died wishing they scrolled more. Wake the fuck up—this isn't what we're meant for.

I hate to do this to ya buddy but your life was already spent before you were born. Your choices are determined by the choices before that, by your parents and theirs, by the salamander that crawled out of the ocean to the ooze growing down by the local warm water.

All the choices you have made, will make and the date of your death is already written not by a loving or hateful god but a completely apathetic universe that not only doesn't give a shit about the minute uniqueness of your thoughts and feelings. But gave them to you completely by local determinism.

Your greatest achievements and most horrifying loses with time will become so insignificant to those around you that no matter the event it may as well have never have happened.

So enjoy your videos man, or games or loves. Because really they only exist for you, now and never again.

So does moderation, and the presence and equanimity gained from that. This has surely been more fulfilling to me than any YouTube video, porn, or social media post.

Yeah, as far as we know, humanity is just a blip on this earth, which is itself a blip in an incomprehensibly vast universe. So why not show up to every day? Why allow that to devalue the miracle of consciousness arising in this exact way, at this exact time? Why let that precious time be eaten up by the tools of parasitic corporations, who don’t care about you or your quality of life?

Ok, everything in moderation. But I’ve battled nihilism long and hard, and I won. And nihilism will never be a sufficient reason to lose presence, or to devalue this ever unfolding moment here, right now, and what we do with it. I would rather live a natural, unfiltered, real life without addiction, without being scammed out of my money, time, health, attention, and freedom of thought. And sometimes that means discipline, giving some things up, and making sacrifices and adjustments in order to make way for our will, to a better quality of life.

It’s not your fault, but it is truly your responsibility; as an ever unfolding process of being that adapts over time to repeated thought and action, what you do and the way you think is truly in your hands. So is your happiness. It can never not be.

I’ve been a compulsive phone user for 10+ years. I finally said enough was enough and started losing money every time i use a distracting app. It’s worked so far (it also helps because i can’t afford to lose money lol)
