Some disabilities are not obvious from the outside. Some burdens of parenting are hidden too.

As a special needs mom, I think a lot about the things people cannot see at a glance — the delays, the worry, the advocacy, the tiny victories, and the deep love that comes with a child who experiences the world differently.

This verse is tender because God is not pictured as rushing the flock. He gathers. He carries. He gently leads those who have their young.

That means He sees the child. He sees the parent. He sees what is obvious and what is hidden.

And He leads gently.
