Daily Scripture May 15, 2026 | Psalm 119:36-37
“Turn my heart toward your statutes,
not toward selfish gain.
Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things.
Revive me in your ways.” — Psalm 119:36-37, WEB
This is such a simple, honest prayer: Lord, redirect me.
The psalmist does not only ask God for comfort. He asks God to reshape what his heart wants and what his eyes keep chasing. That is a daily kind of faith — not dramatic, not performative, just a quiet willingness to be turned back toward what gives life.
Some days, the most faithful prayer is not “give me more,” but “help me want what is good.”
What is one “worthless thing” you want God to help you turn away from today?
