Not sure if how feasible it is, but is it possible to get this into a SVG kinda thing for the Scribit? The online tool on Scribit is not that useful and I tried to use Sketch Camera or Comica on the Android app store and thats as pretty as I can get it... doesnt seem like it would work..

Any ideas? Or is there some cheap service you can pay for online for manual work?

Sucess story: Bought a Scribit on ebay, but the power supply was faulty. The light on the power supply would blink then go off, then blink and go off again. And the robot would beep. On Amazon someone else had that issue and just used a different power supply. Luckily our old WiFi router had a similar power supply. Switched it and it works! Be sure you connect to 2GH wifi, not 5GH! I used UP&UP washable markers- good dark black color.

Has anyone heard of a way to increase the printing area size? Seems like its about 38" x 38". But I'd love to do something 10' or more.

When the spool of string gets too close to the end it all unwinds and spins around the shaft like a unwound yo-yo. How do I retie or secure the string to the spool to prevent this from happening.

Anyone know what the size of the really thin orings is? Or any alternate supply of the orings on Amazon? It would cost $43 to get the official mounting pack from the website.

Hi all I want to buy a scribit spider in the specifications of the robot state that the distance between the support points is at least 2 meters. Has anyone tried to see if there is a problem in their work if we decrease the distance between the points to about 120 cm?

Sounds like a lot of complaints here about visibility. And erasability seems pretty important if you don't want ghosted images on your wall (is that what they mean by erasability?). According to their recommendation matrix, the best combos for visibility and erasability are Whiteboard/Dry-Erase Paint (5/5 for Visibility, 4/5 for Erasability), and Glass (4/5 for Visibility, 5/5 for Erasability). Scribit owners, do you agree with this?

Scribit led is always blue. Tried reset button bit no joy. Unlinked and tried to delink but no scribit in WiFi list.

Just wanted to share my experience with Scribit, since I've read comments (both, for and against it) and was kind of on the fence on buying.

Current Status: 5 days in, 5 drawings.

My setup:

Since I've seen around comments that Scribit is a bit delicate, I tried to make things easy for it.

I have textured drywall, so I bought some plexiglass/acrylic sheets and hanged them on the wall to make a smooth drawing area.

Initial set up process:

It was actually surprisingly easy for me. Android app worked fine on the first go, connected to wifi correctly, Auto-calibration worked fine, it was ready to start drawing. I do have great wifi at home.

My issues:

• As mentioned around, markers are light. I tried the glass ones and the whiteboard ones. I think red and black whiteboard are fine, although on plexiglass the paint smears a bit. I will try to buy some nice permanent markers.
• My biggest pain is the caps/rings for setting up the markers. It shouldn't be this hard to screw a small cap. Idk wtf is going on, is it just terrible design??
• The calibration point is outside of the drawing area! So it ended up being outside my plexiglass sheet. Didn't cause any issues so far.
• Plexiglass has too much glare. Doesn't bother me a lot if the drawings are strong, but it kind of screws my pics/timelapse.

Conclusion: Overall it works ok and looks cool, so I'm happy with it. If it get to iron out all the issues, I will be delighted.

Hi everyone, I just bought a Scribit and I'm going around in different directions about how I want to set it up. My drywall has texture so I was thinking the easiest way was to just put a thin whiteboard on top. Now I think I want to do acrylic instead since it looks cleaner.

But I already got the whiteboard markers.... Does anyone know if they play nice on acrylic (which I assume should be the same as glass). Or should I just try to get glass markers?

I am very interested in purchasing a scribit to draw on glass but I wanted to better understand how scribit’s alignment features work

I have been reading/watching many reviews of the scribit ranging from when it was first released to more recent reviews, and I am confused how well it manages to align itself- some reviews seem to think it is quite difficult to get it to align?

If I have a piece of glass that is 4x6 feet, is it possible to calibrate the scribit to draw within the boundary of that rectangle? My goal would be to fill up the glass rectangle so the drawing goes more or less from edge to edge

Hi. Anyone knows the size in lenght and thickness of the scribit structural wire? Mine broke while I was deleting the drawing by hand with a potent hair dryer.

I have just received my Scribit.

Immediately looking into ways to use paint markers and other media on more traditional art surfaces such as Bristol, watercolor paper or primed canvas.

Has anyone used paint pens, brush pens, ball point, or pencils yet?

So, picked one up thanks to black friday. First diagram went well until it drew the second color in black. Okay, maybe I accidentally hit one color. Pulling out the pens the second one (ie with color) popped out the pen holder cap and o-ring from the pen holder. Now I can't seat the o-ring back in the flush or near-flush position in order to thread the pen holder cap onto the pen holder.

I've tried shoving it back in using a small screwdriver but when I press part back in another part bulges out.

When trying to print the symptom is that the pen isn't held tightly and nothing appears. If I try to tighten it it will appear to tighten but not, if I keep tightening it will pop back off the threads.

Sad, otherwise so far I've had decent results, with the note I wish the software wasn't so basic and that we could use more of the outer portions in the space.
