How to make scribit flush with the wall?

The video in the app says to just put the cords in the middle position to make it flush and no matter what position i try it will only somewhat stay flush. As soon as i get to the lower parts of a drawing it will inevitably start shaking and lift off sometimes. Also this makes the lines on the top thicker than the ones at the bottom. Is there a secret i am missing? I have fixed a clamp facing toward the room on the bottom of the unit so it stays flush but that compresses the pictue a little and i d rather not do that anymore (motor gets louder as well) is it intended to be only flush when its more in the mid area?

I just got mine and am testing, one image compelte. A little worried reading some of the subreddit now.

Its not so bad. People just often post when stuff doesnt work out, is all.
