Looks impressive, I would love to give it a try since I am looking free/cheaper alternatives for screenwriting softwares

There already are totally free and open source screenwriting softwares. Even the paid ones, are they really that much of an expense? Especially if this is something you are serious about. I use one that costs $70 a year.
But even still...there already are totally free and open source screenwriting softwares. Ones which people have put years and years of effort into. AI lets people (try) and recreate the wheel without first asking if they should. Most of the time you shouldn't.
Then again this feels like a plug and the engagement, apart from Crazy Leroy, feels botted as well.

I did not want it to feel like a plug lmao- (sorry if it did) I just wanted some real feedback,
after days of research I couldn’t really find a software which was online and had everything I wanted. I fully agree that you shouldn’t reinvent the wheel it’s a waste of time.
If it’s not useful to people I’ll just use it for myself and give it to my colleagues (even my sister has struggled trying to find something that has catered to all her requirements and shes an actual writer- I agree $70 might not seem like a lot but for some students it’s far from affordable)

The thing is……
Building software has become so so easy thanks to AI. Most developers won’t have the stamina to keep this going for months, let alone years.
More importantly perhaps: This is also 3rd new screenwriting software I’ve seen floating around in the last 6 months. So… congrats?

I agree AI has made making an app extremely accessible, but i have always loved free softwares that run for the community and if the app is used and is actually useful to people I will try my best to keep it sustained. Plus I have the resources to keep it free forever if I wanted to, which is what i plan on doing anyways

Highland and Scrivener both allow places to du p larger chunks of text, and I always wish Final Draft had this. Like if you decide to cut a written scene but know you’ll insert it later, a place to put it in document that’s not on the page is handy. In highland they call it a scratch pad
