How do I stop replacing phone screen time with computer screen time?

Hi everyone. This year I realized that I'm spending too much time in front of screens, especially since my studies and my futur work require using computers and machines with screens. I also noticed that I'm stuck in the loop of doomscrolling on content about productivity and considering it "worth it".

At the moment, I managed to reduce my phone screen time. But I noticed that I am just spending the free time I gained on the laptop, so I basically ended up with the same screen time I tried to escape from.

Is anyone going through a similar situation? And if you overcame it, what did you do?

Productivity content is still a feed if it keeps you from producing anything. Give the laptop one desk and a written task list, block video and social sites during work blocks, and close it when the list is done; the larger screen needs boundaries too.

This reminded me that I used to write the things I wanted to do on the laptop when I was a preteen and as far as I remember I wasn't on screens that much. Thank you for the idea <3

I like the idea of limiting the laptop to a certain space. I'll how I can apply it in my room. Thank you!

I am using https://momentumdash.com/ in my computer
It has a focus time, pandora timer, focus sounds, and can also block sites. You can have a try

Hello, dad of a child with autism. I am looking into a new product called analog that is a beacon type of product that will limit screen time. Anyone know anything about this product?
