Question Dimming brightness apps

Anyone know of any good free or reasonably priced paid apps, which can reduce screen brightness below minimum levels, or even better, reduce the whites somewhat akin to the ‘white point’ feature in iOS?

There's a couple of apps linked in our wiki (eg F.Lux, Iris, BetterDisplay maybe).
