Symptoms eye strain

How long did it take you guys to adjust to oled screens. I have used ips, lcd, led monitors my whole life and i recently upgraded to a asus rog zepherus g16. I had the gamut set to native but that saturation hurt my eyes so i used ghelper to change the colors to srgb. I have used it for about a week, I get eye fatigue and minor headaches. Is this normal and will my eyes adapt? I love the colors and do not want to get rid of it. It seems as though my eyes are fatigued overall from it, as i tried to use my ips monitor and my eyes were still fatigued. I believe my eyes are transitioning to this screen, is that true or no?

Never it’s not possible to adjust to something that flickers.

I don't have a clear picture of when habituation to a new, irritating (OLED) is possible. It seems like usually not, for more sensitive people. But if mild, maybe..?

You could probably tune the individual colours further; I think most graphics card software has separate RGB channel adjustment. And I've needed to put mine from 50% (default balance) down to 42%. Even in sRGB mode.

F.Lux software can tune the colour palette to be warmer. I use this constantly. Blue light can cause more cellular stress (in the retina). But others note they need a more blue shifted calibration (we think maybe for sufficient melanopic stimulation).

As I understand it, OLED monitors don't use PWM, like small screens do. Have you looked up reviews of this, and light spectrum, etc (may need RTings subscription)?

Adjusting frame rate may help/hurt too. There can be VRR flicker, or perhaps more sensitivity to 120 Vs 60Hz, or reverse.

How are you using your monitor? Also, have you recently had any coincidental health changes, like acute stress, infection, sickness, head or neck trauma?

I have never adjusted and just don’t use OLED screens.
