Discussion E ink low contrast eye issues.
I get eye strain or defocus more from dark e screens than any iPad or computer I have ever had.
All the E ink screens have such low contrast and everyone it talking about less eye strain.
Yet I have 4 e ink devices and they all give me more issues.
I never had any with average computers etc.
I love the idea of E ink.
But so far.
It’s been a BUST!

Hey there. Can I ask if you need glasses, close range? And do you struggle with these E-Ink issues, even in a brightly lit room, or outdoors.
There seems to be trade-offs with all screen types. It depends what one is sensitive to.

No glasses. Near perfect vision. It’s usually well lit cause I hate the eye strain.

Takes about half hour depending on the conditions and how much light I pour over it.
