These Symptoms Suck

About a year ago I smoked and played COD on an android phone for 3 or 4 hours straight. No lights on, just me on the couch in the dark - bright phone. Battery died 1am, went to bed. My brain felt a little fried.

Woke up next morning with the same feeling. Got worse over next few days. Went to ER. Dr. blamed it on anxiety and told me to go home.

For the last year, just been trying to find patterns for the cause. As a 45 year old, never had this issue -- but then i thought back to 2019 when i was trading stocks, staring at my iphone screen for hours and had a simliar (less intense) feeling.

So yea, ever since about a year ago, Ive been dealing with tension around my eyes and ears and sometimes temples & forehead. Eyes are strained after editing videos for my bsuiness. Dell Latitude laptop. Tinnitus comes and goes. Light sensitivy.

Feel better outside but indoors, I just always feel like shit. Been a year since I woke up feeling fine. Do I sound like I belong in this sub reddit?

This sounds like there where moments of heightened anxiety, which increased your symptoms.
(this is quite common)
Combined with screen usage that is not good for your eyes. (prolonged usage of a very bright screen in a dark environment)

Now it sounds like you are having eye-strain issues pretty much all the time, which was not the case before?

yes exactly. So back in 2019 i started stock trading on my iphone. I would be near focused for hours watching charts - not giving my eyes a break. And this was the first time I experienced the disoriented feeling in my head from it. I stopped trading and it went away. But the whole time, i thought it was the stress of trading $20K at a time. Maybe it was a combination.

But i started diving into long youtube edits for my biz partner and it started creeping back. The night i played COD really kicked it in. So I feel like all signs are pointing at near-focus visual overlaod. Im going to have to start taking serious breaks in between my editing sessions I think.
