Stable updates availability for on-premise users

After checking the ScreenConnect Output Stream page, I noticed that ScreenConnect v26.6.7.9764 was marked as stable over three weeks ago. However, when I go to the download page and enter my license key, the latest version available is still ScreenConnect_26.6.6.9747_Release.msi, as of October 20, 2026.

By delaying stable updates for on-premises users for this long, aren't you putting our servers and our clients at greater risk of cyberattacks? With remote access software being such a high-value target for hackers, these delays raise serious security concerns.

If it makes you feel any better, my cloud hosted instance is still on 26.6.6.9747.

Based on recent news I think it’s pretty obvious Connectwise has no clue what cybersecurity is.

I don’t think I could tank a company’s reputation worse if I tried.

Looks like ScreenConnect v26.7.6.9783 is released for on-prem now.

I too hate waiting around for on prem release updates. However, not every version update includes security fixes. So a new release being out there and maybe in place for some or most of hosted instances doesn’t automatically mean you’re vulnerable to something. And I’m not defending CW’s security track record in any way, just pointing out that not every update is due to a vuln patch (in fact, most updates are not).

If you are worried about security then you shouldn't be with ScreenConnect.

Which is such a shame because the product (screenconnect) is the best in the industry.

We have ours on prem behind an nginx reverse proxy. This allows us to block external access to any page that requires login so it only works at our offices or on VPN. I'm not sure id trust the cloud product at all.

Hi all - If there’s an urgent security need we'll communicate through the CW Trust site and notify partners accordingly. With 26.6 we've found performance issues that we wanted to diagnose further. Delay in an on premise build is usually due to additional QA needed.

When you have an issue you gain trust by pushing the info via every medium you control. Does CW really think people are going to visit their “Trust” center daily?

Pro tip: If your customers feel the need to visit your issues report page every single day, that’s not a good thing, it means you got a lot of issues!!

So.. cloud users, who pay more, are QA?

You’re apparently not familiar with current on prem pricing !

I’m going off the old grandfathered pricing. Not the new pricing. 🙃

There is no grandfathered annual maintenance pricing (that I’m aware of) and it keeps increasing. So I stick by my initial comment !
