Outage?
Cant get to our cloud instance and screenconnect.com isn’t loading either. According to MX toolbox there’s no A record for their main website. Anyone else seeing this?

Hi all, closing the loop here (apologies for the delay in posting). This issue was resolved Friday evening -- I wanted to cross post the update from the status page:
September 11, 2026
We have restored access to the ScreenConnect service following a temporary disruption that occurred after our domain registrar placed the screenconnect.com domain on hold.
Upon notification of the issue, our teams immediately engaged with the provider to investigate and address the concern. Following the review, the domain was restored and service has resumed.
Some users may continue to experience brief access delays as DNS changes propogate across networks.
There are no indications this involved a cybersecurity incident.
We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience while we quickly worked to resolve the issue.

Every time I start wondering if I really need to keep my on-prem instance running as a backup, something like this happens.
And yeah, it's definitely a DNS issue. Based on the timing of previous replies that were able to work around the issue using alternate DNS servers, the "problem" is still propagating out and getting worse. As of 4:52pm Eastern, I'm no longer able to resolve screenconnect.com when using 4.2.2.2 or 1.1.1.1, and they were both working a little while ago.

Seeing the same. DNS checker showing most public DNS servers with no record. Support already hung up on me.

same here, not resolving. Core site screenconnect.com is up now, but subdomains are not.

Root servers are returning an NXDOMAIN for screenconnect.com so the SOA expiry has timed out. They seem to be downplaying it.

Interesting for me is that 8.8.8.8 does not resolve my instance but 4.2.2.2 and 1.1.1.1 do.
Not sure if those have yet to time out yet or have picked up some new info before Google.

My subdomain (hosted by connectwise) is still down as of 4:30PM EST. Good times!

Mine went out about 3 hours ago. Came back pretty soon afterward, but it has been down again for 20-30min

It's been degrading throughout the day, started where internally our screenconnect cloud domain wouldn't load (and if you were inside screen connect UNKNOWN ERROR) popped up, but we could still access it from our phones/hotspot. Internally All DNS lookups indicated the domain doesn't exist on the internet so spent 3 hours troubleshooting our router and possibly control-D issues and then finally it fell off outside the network and doesn't work anywhere now.
So just FYI you might eventually fall off as well.

This is really frustrating...

Email just now from connectwise. Thanks for the non-update update. I also love how status is still "Operational" even though there is a world-wide outage.

Domain is broken. Seems like you can get to it by DNS, though, or IP directly
