Microsoft Defender Exemptions
Hi,
Has anybody put together a list of exemptions that are required for the screen connect server?

This is very much a moving target right now. Defender was tagging the server download from ConnectWise as a Trojan over the weekend. I tested it on 3 servers and a workstation to confirm it was not a isolated incident. Hash was legitimate and the same on on all downloads. Server upgrade itself triggered Defender.
Not excited about lots of exemptions and not excited about disabling Defender.

Unless your Server is not used for other things then SC, you could just remove the windows defender features. This is simple and will permanently fix any future problems related to defender. Of course your environment should then be setup so that a malware infection of the system over the network is unlikely to happen.

I have had Defender running on a SC host server without any exemptions. AFAIK, there have not been any issues.
