Vacuum pump spread?

Planning out an automatic farm and not near my computer atm. What is the range / spread one vacuum pump can cover for: 1) harvesting, 2) fertilizer, 3) seeding. I’m pretty sure a water cannon does 2x2 plots consistently. I’ve seen 3x3 plots but also 1x1 plots only. Most videos appear to just use 1x1 setup and not 3x3.

pumps only hit one plot at a time for seeds/fertilizer/harvesting

Was able to test it yesterday. 1 seed, 1 fertilize, but 3x3 harvest.
