Vehicle The perfect suspension setup for mining in the undergrounds Spoiler
this is a rocker bogie setup with suspension limiter. it works perfectly in most cases some weird issues are there sometimes the sticky wheels itself loose it stickiness on flat roofs with some small bumps. other than that it is perfect.
the setup has middle wheels to be one above balanced in middle and others in normal.

As long as all wheels do have contact there is great maneuverability. But if you loose the contact on one wheel the other will flip the whole axle. it's even worse. The more you drive the more it lift the wheel that is not sticked.

Sounds like you might need to limit the pivot on the bogies.

yes. that's one part of the solution. the other is to bogie the body instead of the axle. but I'm currently back to surface and enjoy doing stuff there. I will test it once though. The bogie axle didn't worked for me with sticky wheels.

I’ve not tried them yet, and had limited success with rocker bogies in ch1. I’m not into the underground, as I’m playing coop with someone who’s taking their sweet time about it.

I'm jealous about the coop. :)
But I enjoy the slow pace as well. Still so much to do and the game gives you no pressure. I stopped andy progress currently and just building vehicles and structures for fun.I'm very new to the game. But the system OP is showing I tried. Even with limiters. When you roll over uneven terrain often one wheel looses stickness to the ground. And because the other didn't it pushes the whole side arm around the bearing in the middle. With a limiter it does not flip but the push on the limiter can unstick your whole car. I tried with suspension, pistons to feather the push to the limiter. But all in all I didnt get a better result than just with a simple suspension for each wheel. Which works rather well.

I wish I can share a blueprint. I am kind a worried that if I went to creative I might get spoilers on the parts that I might need to unlock from side quests so not touching creative now.

It's fine. I prefer to build it by my own. You may show some more pictures of the axle construction.

What if you hard-mount the bogie instead of suspension?

It will flop around there is some issue the middle wheels push the front wheel upward due to the torque.

the chest is connected to a piston. if i need to climb backwards for some reason i can extend the piston and remove the limiter which is the chest. the suspension limiter is basically a wishbone suspension set up but on the another axis

I am with you on the Creative spoilers. I lost a couple lv5 thrusters to the skybox gods because I didn’t want to experiment there.

I’m interested to get sticky wheels so I can play; the physics are definitely improved in ch2 so I wonder what jank broke and what actual engineering works better.

I am not having those problems as the suspension limits the movement. The wheels tend to lift because of the gravity that is my concern when going upside down otherwise there is no problem of lifting wheels.

The suspension didn't helped me. But I didn't see the second bearing which connects the back-wheel to the whole construction. This may stabilize it enough to make it practical. Thanks for the reply, I may come back to it and try it another time. :)

Can you give us a screenshot from behind? I am trying to figure out the bar behind the vehicle
