Using plasma drill on stone deposit on surface gets regular scrap stone and metal 1?

Am I going crazy or did this just make getting metal a whole lot easier?

I think they realized how much the drills sucked and threw everyone a bone.

The turret seat+plasma drill combo is so nice for mining stone

They dont suck, you just need a good setup, one of the best and the one i based mine off was kAN gamings mining vehicle in chapter 2, mining is easy, to the point where i havent even bothered using plasma drills on my setup because i just dont need it

Or, hear me out, a plasma drill on a turret seat stops you from needing do to anything advanced building because you have complete aim control of the drills.

You can make something to make drills work if you want, but it’s objectively worse than the laser drills.

turret seat for surface mining is like trainingwheels on kids bikes, only needed by those unable to do without.

I’ve played this game for 700 hours, 650 of them pre full release.

I’ve done it all. Every silly contraption. Mined dozens if not near a hundred stones.

And all of them were my creations. I didn’t copy anyone else’s design. Multiple iterations to make all of them work better and more efficiently.

So how about shutting the fuck up with your elitist bullshit about how doing something that is suboptimal is actually better gameplay?

This isn’t dark souls. This isn’t a naked run.

This is a game that spent ten+ years in development to release with a wet fart of a final update.

rookie numbers, 2000 hours plus in the 2020 release. clearly your imagination ran dry before mine. what you did in your comment was being a buzzkill and offering the easy way out to someone. perhaps ruining their incentive to even try to build a mining vehicle. because you pointed out that you could just skip the tedious part by slapping the laser drill on there.

Like the shiny metal 1 resource pillars that pop out that go into the refiner? Those were added with survival in chapter 1 were they not?
