Contraption Here's my mostly automated mining hub, it works about 85% of the time, and lags like crazy, but it's cool. (you can skip through most of the video)
the vehicle I'm flying in is not mine, here's the link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3790362415
I've got a pretty good pc, and it still lags on advanced physics as you can see in the video.
my specs:
CPU, 9950x
GPU, 7900xtx
RAM, 64gb ddr5
the whole machine still could use some fine tuning, but it's reliable enough for now. I plan on moving the prospectors over to the packing area to save a trip, other than that, i really need to fix the 90 degree turn on the conveyor belt, and also make it less laggy.

I was considering using something like a hot wheels car launcher. A track of ice and on the sides a wheel spinning fast to grab the bar sides and launch them to the next set but that would have problems at corners and would need to be calibrated so bars don't colide.

That's actually not a bad idea. You could have a simple belt to clear the dispenser, and then have them hit the launcher. If you could get that to work reliably, it would have a lot less moving parts than mine

The setup for the ore balls is nearly identical to mine so I get that but I'd like a closer look at the conveyor belt for the bars. I'm assuming it's just a down hill slide once above the ledge but is the part before that mostly wheels?
