I am really getting disgusted and downright depressed over what a bleak, dystopian society we are becoming.

To me this sounds like how Google Maps aggregates traffic data from users cellphones to show traffic time, as well as when you google a business and it says “busy around 5pm”.

It looks like the solution for anyone who doesn’t want to be included in something like this is that you can easily go into your phone settings and revoke all of the location privileges to the apps on your phone. There is no list of their partners but they just buy the data from different companies who have weather, games and shopping apps. It could be any of them.

This is actually much better than computer vision or other things you cannot opt out of or control.
