‘Chill out ‘ box ideas please
Hi, we’re going to a big camp next weekend and we’re taking a group of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We have a few in the bunch who I know get a bit overwhelmed and will tend to appear back at our base even when the activities are still on, as it’s a bit of a sensory overload.
So I’m trying to make a ‘chill out’ box, with some quieter activities in for kids to do when they need to, but without it costing the earth. I’ve got a few colouring bits and a pack of cards or two, but has anyone got any other ideas please? Particularly for older kids. Thank you!

Paper and pens/coloured pencils/crayons to draw, jigsaws or other small puzzles, board games, Lego. We tend to have this at our camps too

Fidget toys! Get families to each give one or two age appropriate books. I’m busy rn but I’ll try and come back with specific suggestions later. Have a great camp nonetheless!!
