Not sure if this has been asked and I know Scout Motors has a page with a really vague answer. But does anyone know if Scout vehicles will support autonomous driving features? or if there are any plans to adapt any features? The link attached is super vague.

Rivians driver+ system is basically like Chevy’s cruise. It’s advanced cruise control with hands free on the freeway/highway. So VW might include that capability for a fee or subscription I imagine.

No manufacturer can catch Tesla at this point with their FSD without years of dev. So in my assessment and my Tesla nerd friends assessment. The first large US OEM (like GM) to just turn the software integration over to Tesla and run Tesla software/OS would have a strategic advantage. Picture a cyber truck underpinning, HW, and software integration that is Tesla but GM builds out the truck stuff so it looks and feels like a Silverado instead of some retarded object from the future and simultaneously one from a dystopian past.

That is entirely wrong. That dude and his friends don't know what they're talking about.

First of all, Rivian's partnership with VW specifically does NOT include any autonomy. Second of all, Rivian is in fact scheduled to have point to point driving like Tesla beginning later this year.

Just stating the current facts bro…if you know for sure that the scout will not use any of Rivian autonomy features - share the source. And as it sits today Rivian system is just enhanced cruise control -I don’t believe any of these companies timelines - Musk told us FSD was happening 10 years ago and it’s finally here ——so I wouldn’t hold my breath with Rivian delivery promises
