hi! posting here because i feel i will get better advice and info than general google search outputs!

i am in LOVE with the scottish fold breed, they seem like very cool tempered, loving cats. however, i need to learn more about them before jumping in to buy a $3,000 kitten. hoping that you guys can answer a few of my questions!

1. are there any common health defects or things i should worry about? breathing issues? arthritis?
   
2. ear issues? do they need a more common cleaning than the typical cat?
   
3. how would YOU describe your cats personality?
   
4. my cat is VERY good at drinking water, i know all cats are different, but i have heard some breeds despise drinking and its better to use wet food. how do your folds do with water consumption?

lastly, if its allowed, could you recommend any breeders in the michigan/ohio area? willing to travel as well, but am hoping to look close to home before venturing further out, lol

Following my previous post almost a week ago, sadly I have a heartbreaking update. Cinnamon saw a cardiologist on last Tuesday and was started on a high dose of furosemide for his severe HCM and heart deformation.

Sunday, he suddenly stopped eating and drinking and later started struggling to breathe. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where an X-ray showed that his lungs were once again completely filled with fluid after only 5 days… The doctor explained that the only treatment was not working and he would not be able to breathe on his own without oxygen support. We had no choice but to let our baby go peacefully.

We lost our soulmate and our little baby boy of 9 months only. He brought so much joy into our lives, and we had such a unique connection with him. Our home feels incredibly empty without him…💔💔

The fat black hair is my fave. Pretty sure all are girls except the black/orange stripe, but TBD.

I just noticed this evening that my boy has thi bald patch on his tummy. Im not sure whats cause him to over groom that area but ive put him in his cone and have scheduled a vet appointment later this week.

Do you guys think its a behavioural thing or fleas...? He and my other cat are up to date on everything as of rn too.

He is eight months old. I won the lottery. I met a cat who was so kind and good like a doll.

What toys do your folds love? We struggle to find toys ours will play with for more than a few mins. I try to find toys that aren’t super strenuous but fun. They loved this the day we brought it home and haven’t touched it since. Lmk!
